VintaSoft Imaging .NET SDK v8.3 Released with support for ASP.NET MVC and HTML 5.

VintaSoft Ltd releases the next major version 8.3 of its Imaging .NET SDK for WinForms, WPF and ASP.NET, which includes some brand new functionality along with lots of enhancements and improvements. The most outstanding features of the release is the support for ASP.NET MVC with HTML 5, PDF content removal and text obfuscation capabilities and support for work with PDF portfolio.

The implemented ASP.NET MVC 4 and HTML 5 web controls allows to view, annotate and edit images and PDF documents in ASP.NET MVC applications as well as there is available the new functionality for image processing in ASP.NET Web Forms applications.

Advanced support for work with PDF portfolio includes the abilities to create, delete, rename, export, import files and folders; define and obtain thumbnails for files and folders; create and edit the portfolio schema; create and edit the data fields of folder and files; manage the visual appearance of viewer.

The functionality for PDF content removal and text protection in PDF could exceed the most steep expectations. In first case, a text or vector graphics can be removed from PDF document, an image cleaned up or some redaction marks applied to a PDF document. All that leads to removal or black out of PDF content without the ability to restore. In turn, the text protection assumes the ability to obfuscate information about text encoding for the purpose of protection the document against text extraction. The most widespread TrueType fonts can be obfuscated.

The new release includes lots of performance and quality improvements for loading of thumbnails in WinForms and WPF, work with PDF fonts and PDF content rendering. The broad set of demo applications has been complemented with new ASP.NET MVC Annotation Viewer, Barcode Reader, Image Viewer and PDF Viewer Demos.

VintaSoft’s test system, containing tens of thousands automated and manual tests, is specially designed for delivering the most stable versions of our Document Imaging SDK for .NET, WPF and WEB to the software components market.
