Leading data recovery experts, LSoft, have released the latest version of their popular program, Active File Recovery. This powerful solution offers great chances of getting your data back intact by exploiting the fact, that until something else overwrites the original data, it is still there on the disk for a time even once the disk has been formatted or the file removed from the Recycle Bin.

Version 14 presents various new features and improvements. The latest version also comes with a 64-bit executable to significantly improve scan speed on today’s 64-bit computer systems. This allows the program to take advantage of all of the processing power and memory on current computers. There is now a virtual disk option as well, allowing Active File Recovery to scan device and disk images with different sector sizes.

Active File Recovery now makes it quicker and easier than ever to scan for and recover your deleted files. Adding to its already extensive range of supported file signatures, it now provides several more. This makes it easier to search for files of less common types. Before recovering discovered files, the program now allows you to sort them by various attributes such as creation date, author or title. Internal attributes specific to MP3 files or image files are also supported.

As before, Active File Recovery supports all hard disks and removable drives and memory cards with file systems which are natively supported by Windows, Macintosh or Linux-based operating systems. The program also comes with the latest versions of Disk Editor, Partition Recovery, Boot Disk Creator and the driver’s pack for the latter.
