Renowned magician and Houdini expert Dick Brookz discloses Houdini’s conflict with Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, Friday, December 26, 2014 at 12 noon on The Travel Channel as their lead story.

TV host Don Wildman tells of the captivating portrait of Houdini’s mother. This portrait was a catalyst for an angry conflict with Sir Arthur Conan Doyle on the subject of religion and spiritualism. This is Season 7, Episode 4.

The most haunting artifact at the Houdini Museum is a piece from the magician’s private collection. It’s a portrait of a white-haired woman wearing a high-necked, black gown and a stoic expression. This photograph was the catalyst for a bitter tale that tormented the great illusionist right up until his untimely death.“
