The Sex Shop Industry

Sex shops have been around for many years, and can be found in and around most cities across the world. There are even some cities such as London, Amsterdam and Thailand where sex shops and selling sex is rife. In Amsterdam you have the red light district which not only has lots of sex shops within it but there also lots of prostitutes that are advertising sex, clients can walk in off the street and have sex with these women for money if they so wish to.
In Thailand there is their version of the red light district where again women and people who are called lady boys (these are young men posing as women, or men going through or have gone through a process that enables them to become women) are selling their bodies for sexual pleasure. The sex industry in these countries is and many other countries across the world are big business, and the amount of money that changes hands for acts of sexual pleasure is phenomenal.
Although, people still believe that sex shops are seedy places of ill repute, these establishments make a lot of money, not only from people who frequent then on a regular basis but also by people who are curious to see what goes on inside them, there are even some people who have never been inside a sex shop and probably never will. However, just because these places sell pretty much anything you can think of to do with sex doesn’t mean that they are not filled with ordinary everyday people, who just simply enjoy sex.
When people think of sex shops they automatically think of dirty dark seedy places, which these days is not true at all, there are many sex shops that are filled with lots of different things to do with sex. Some places just cater for porno films, others cater for sex toys, others sell clothing such as rubber, PVC and other items that go with the clothing, there are others that contain what are called peep shows, where you can pay to watch a private show through glass in a small booth, as a person on the other side performs a sexual show of some description.
Times have changed and so have people’s attitudes towards sex, people are much more open about sex and the things that they like to do. More people are happy to visit a sex shop and are not afraid to be seen in one. But there will always be people who disagree and believe that these sort of establishments shouldn’t not be allowed on our streets, but unfortunately, this is never going to happen because there are too many people who love sex and just can’t get enough of it and until this no longer happens sex shops are here to stay.
