Saving The World One Stripper At A Time

Even though it became a strip club anthem, "Strippa" almost didn’t end up that way. While listening to the LBeats beat last year, Foreign thought the song would make a great soundbed for bro anthem song.

"The beat reminded me of some We Dem Boys shit," Foreign says during an interview with HTown Hip Hop Show. "It starts so slow, and it’s really melodic."

Then Foreign Musik closed his eyes. "A lot of times when I’m recording, I take a bottle to the head, I freestyle, and if I’m trying to get that last bar or that ending of the song, I’ll go into a dark place in my past, because I always come up with shit when my adrenaline is rushing," Foreign says during the interview. "I mean, I’ve written many, many songs after a hard day of surviving."

"Strippa" is slated to appear on Foreign’s The Life of the Rich and Fatherless EP, which is scheduled for a June 21st release.

The Life of the Rich and Fatherless follows Foreign’s run as an independent act and a team player with Family First, Crush Gang and Lobby Boys. The teams he formed with iRome, Zahero and Chloe Riley in HollyWood, California 2015. The crew will be making their appearance on SisterHood of Hip Hop Season 2, July 2015.

"I was just doing songs with people from my hood and opening shows for many mainstream artist," Foreign says. "I had a street team passing out mixtapes, and sometimes I would get out there and pass out a couple mixtapes myself, just to get the feeling back."

"I come from nothing," he says. "When I got a chance to make some money, I was like, ’Man, I’m not ever going back."
