Her exhaustive research reveals how many of the scriptures used to condemn homosexuality are in fact misappropriated. She writes about modern concerns for pastors, parents and individuals concerning faith, sexuality, and marriage. Sandra believes the "red-letter" words of Jesus on the subject of "eunuchs" historically illuminate the issues of sexual orientation. "GOD’S GAY AGENDA" is a careful examination of the issue of homosexuality in the Church, and how the Church should address same-sex marriages.
The daughter of Assembly of God missionaries, Reverend Turnbull grew up in Church and has since been involved in bridging the gap between conservative evangelical Christians and the gay community at-large. After receiving the call to ministry, Sandra received a Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies from Evangel University in Springfield, Missouri and a Master of Arts in Religious Studies from the School of Theology in Claremont, California. Since 1996 Rev. Sandra Turnbull has served as Senior Pastor of Glory Tabernacle Christian Center.
