Remove Fuzzy duplicates and Performs Fuzzy Merging with FuzzyCruce

Have you ever happened to you, that you need to clean a database with duplicate names or addresses? Or maybe you need to join two tables through a column with misspelled names?

With FuzzyCruce you can do this in a really easy way.

To remove duplicates.

1. First download and install the program.


2. Run the program and then click on the Load File button and choose the database where is your table.The program will show the path of the file, the existing tables and fields. You can view the contents of each table by clicking the Display button


3. Then select the Remove tab and choose a table in the combo box “Table”.


4. In the below box, fills the conditions required for considering a record as a duplicate. The Threshold value must be between 0 and 1. You can choose more than one condition.


5. In the output box, select the output fields that you require display and then click on the Query button.


6. To delete the duplicate records check the box in the Remove column and press click on the Delete button.

To join two tables

1. Perform the first two steps above, you can load more than one data source at a time.


2. Press click on the Join tab and select the tables you want to join in each of the two combo box.


3. In the below box, fills the conditions required for considering two records as equals. The Threshold value must be between 0 and 1. You can choose more than one condition.


4. In the output box, select the output fields you require display of each of the two tables, and then click on the Join button.


5. To delete wrong records, check the box in the Remove column, and click on the Delete button.
