Real Santa Release Provokes Studio Interest

The Kindle Release of William Hazelgroves Sixth Novel Real Santa along with the Starred Review in Booklist and the Positive Review in Publishers Weekly has brought the studios knocking.
Chicago, IL, USA, September 03, 2014 -- William Hazelgrove’s novel Real Santa has been released in Kindle and will be followed in October with soft and hard cover versions. The story of an unemployed engineer who hires a movie director and buys reindeer and then turns his house and back yard into a movie set to keep his daughters beleif in Santa Claus alive already has movie studios calling.
"We had some very early interest just when a small one line version of the book went out on a rights site," Leticia Gomez of Savvy Literary recalled. "Then when the Publishers Weekly and the Starred Booklist review came out we had quite a few calls from multiple studios." The kindle version of the novel just went on sale and few people are thinking about Christmas...yet.
"I had just finished promoting my baseball novel when I realized the summer was ending and that it was time to gear up for pushing Real Santa," Author William Hazelgrove said. "It’s hard to talk about Christmas when it is still summer out but really this is a novel about more than Christmas...it is about what we will do for our children....and now crazy that can get."
William Hazelgrove has written six novels and sold several books to the movies. Booklist’s starred review of the book set the stage for the movie interest. "If somebody doesn’t make a movie out of this book, then there is something wrong with the world." It doesn’t get any better than that.
