One Hand Clapping Wins Best Screenplay Award in Monaco

Film slated for production in Austin, TX Spring 2014 receives prestigious Angel Film Award at Monaco Film Festival.
Monte Carlo, Monaco, December 17, 2013 -- ‘One Hand Clapping’ was awarded BEST SCREENPLAY in the fictional category at the Angel Film Awards, a part of the Monaco International Film Festival, in Monte Carlo on Saturday, Dec 7th.
Writer, director, producer Jerry Alden Deal was on hand to accept the award and expressed his gratitude by announcing that ‘One Hand Clapping’ will start filming in Austin Texas in the spring of 2014.” Also attending the festival was executive producer Jane Berry Deal and co-producer Jay Deal.

‘One Hand Clapping’ is a drama set in a small Texas town about a multi-generational family that explores how the possibility of reincarnation can help three brothers make peace with their dying father with the help of his 8-year-old grandson. This is the 11th year for the Angel Film Awards – Monaco International Film Festival, which is a well-established, competitive, independent 4 day International Film Festival and art house event celebrating peace, love and movies. Since its creation in 2003 the festival has been held in the Principality of Monaco. It is a non-profit independent film festival, known as an elegant and glitzy affair, gaining it the reputation of the jewel in the crown of the film festival circuit.
