Now You can Backup Your Social Media Memories

By digible on November 25 2016 | 508 Views

Social media has become almost a necessity for us, in today’s world. It’s become so important and evolved so much, that we carry our social media with us throughout the day, on our phones. Is it that

According to the Kaspersky Lab, 78 percent of the respondents want to leave social media like Facebook, Instagram etc. but the fear of losing friends and posts makes them stay on. Kaspersky Labs new launched project FFForget will help people save their digital memories and regain control over their data. Research also revealed that the vast majority of people want to leave social networks, often because they are a waste of time.
Moreover, Kaspersky Lab is also working on a solution to help people save their digital memories by creating an app called FFForget, will allow people to back up all of their memories from the social networks they use and keep them in a safe, encrypted memory container. The app is expected to give people the freedom to leave any network whenever they want, without losing out. The survey indicates that users are actually self-critical and aware of their fixation, 39 percent of respondents said they believe they are wasting time on social networks and nearly 78 percent even stated that they have already considered leaving social networks behind them.
However, with FFForget, we want to create a solution which keeps people from being afraid of losing their memories to account damage or hacking attacks. And most importantly, people using the app would win back their right to quit any social network at any time without losing what belongs to them their digital lives. Kaspersky Lab is planning to launch FFForget in 2017. Interested users can register at ffforget.kaspersky.com to give feedback and influence the scope of the app.
