Mydentist partners with Bajaj Finance; offers easy, interest free EMI for dental treatments

Mydentist has tied up with Bajaj Financial Services, along with three mobile wallets to simplify dental treatment, and make them more affordable to the masses. Mydentist, India’s largest chain of dental clinics which is spread across seven cities, aims to provide its patients with high quality, affordable dental care. Within the first two months of launching the scheme, over 200 people have already availed Bajaj Financial EMI services.

Under the Bajaj Finance scheme, if the total bill of a patient for a treatment is over 10 thousand rupees, the patient can choose to pay through EMI. In the Bajaj Financial Services EMI scheme, a person needs to pay only 33% of the total amount as the down payment and can pay the rest of bill with the help of eight interest free EMI installments. This will make dental treatment more affordable and accessible to Indians. Patients who are unable to pay the entire cost of a treatment at a single time can use this option and avail dental services. Dental treatments often cost around 15 thousand rupees, with some treatments even costing 1 lakh or more. As dental health is not covered by insurance, and traditionally complete payment has to be made before availing the dental service, with an additional 2% charge on cards, it makes dental treatment expensive and unaffordable for most Indians.
