MVJCE Celebrated Graduation Day on May 14th 2016

The Graduation Day ceremony witnessed a huge gathering of graduates along with their parents and guardians to witness the proud moment of graduation for their wards. The graduation day was rightly addressed as ticket to change the world.

The event commenced on an auspicious note with invocation song. The occasion was graced by honorable chief guest, Prof. S. Sadagopan, Director, IIIT, Bangalore. The Occasion was also presided over by Prof. Thyagrajan, Director, Research & Development, MVJ College of Engineering, Prof Brindha, Vice Principal, MVJ College of Engineering and Head of the Departments.

Addressing the gathering, Prof. M. Brindha, Vice Principal, MVJ College of Engineering, said that the occasion is a significant milestone in the life of students as it felicitates the hard work and dedication of the students. Prof. M. Brindha, extended heartfelt welcome to chief guest, dignitaries, head of the departments, faculty members and students.

Followed by the welcome address, Prof. Gowrishankar introduced the esteemed chief guest, Prof. S. Sadagopan. Prof. Thyagarajan, Director, Research and Development, MVJCE presented the chief guest with a memento as a token of gratitude.

President of the ceremony, Prof. Thyagarajan declared the event open. Addressing the gathering, Prof. S Sadagopan said that indeed Graduation day is a fun filled event. He profusely thanked the organizers for inviting him as a chief guest and congratulated all the graduates. He took the audience through four different eras of graduation starting with the “Dikshanta Samaroha” as quoted in Taitriya Upanishad to present day graduation ceremonies.

Prof. S Sadagopan described education as freedom to pursue what you want. He also gave insights from the famous lecture of Steve Jobs at Stanford University popularly known as “Stay Hungary Stay foolish”. He concluded the address by saying that education is all about being curious to assimilate more knowledge.

Followed by the chief guest address was the most awaited event for the day, “Graduation Ceremony”. The graduates across all streams of Engineering, Master of Business administration, Master of Computer Application received the certificate of Graduation from Prof S Sadagopan, Prof. Thyagarajan, Prof. Brindha.

Followed by certificates distribution, the graduates pledged for a responsible and judicious use of technology and science for betterment of the nation.

The formal procedure concluded with dissolution of the ceremony by President of the Ceremony, Prof. Thyagarajan and National Anthem as a mark of reverence and gratitude towards the nation.
