An inspiring event EWB organized by MVJCE, Bangalore on February 2016.

The first EWB (Engineers without Borders) student chapter in the soil of Karnataka was inaugurated in the MVJ College of Engineering on 6th February 2016 by the EWB Chairman Dr. Shaukat Ali Mirza.

The event was graced by the distinguished guests, Scientists from GTRE, R&D Director Mr. Thyagarajan and MVJCE Chairman Shri. M. J. Balachandar, Mrs. N. Gayathri who lightened the lamp and marked the opening of the student chapter.

Proff. Dr. K. V. Muralidharan, Prof. Ravishankar M K and the Faculties of Mechanical Engineering Department co-ordinated the mega event successfully. It was followed by the student project presentation and valedictory function.

Engineers without Borders has its roots in 66 countries globally. EWB is a non-profit organization working on the urgent concern for accelerating sustainable rural development, assisting in capacity building for backward communities of India, working across national boundaries for the social and economic justice by the responsible use of technology.

It builds a network of Engineering students and professionals to offer a sustainable solution in the areas of Water, Sanitation, Energy, Health and Education so that the quality of life for the common people is improved.

EWB works with a vision to nurture and motivate young students and professionals to undertake real life sustainable social projects and offer the best solution to it.

EWB Student chapter is first introduced in Karnataka in MVJ College of Engineering. It has been Made remarkable by presenting three different mechanical Engineering Projects working in a cutting edge technology and is projected for the social cause. The three projects will be executed by the end of the year.
