Jonathan Burkett Release "Changes" Inspires

By miamindmusic on June 19 2018 | 633 Views

Jonathan Burkett has found in music solace from the personal storms which life had cast him, and now he has just released “Changes”.

Born in Florida and raised in Jamaica Hip-Hop and R&B artist Jonathan Burkett knows nothing remains the same and that’s what "Changes" (featuring Polancapop) is all about. This style of music is vibrant and positive with an inspirational message of love to all who will listen. And what everyone knows more than ever is that what the world needs now is love, so to do so, changes must be made one day at a time by one soul at a time.

Beginning his life in Florida in an abusive household Jonathan Burkett learned early on that love was not a guarantee for any child. In an effort to protect him his grandparents brought him to live with them in Jamaica. Eventually his parents forced his return to America, but his life with them was again far from good. This led the young boy to taking to and living on the streets of Miami and Fort Lauderdale as a way to escape them. After enduring this mental and physical torment he suffered a brain aneurysm at the age of 13. Doctors would not operate because of his age, so it wasn’t until he turned 19 that the invasive surgery could be performed.

Over the years Burkett turned to music as a form of therapy to help him cope with the turmoil he was surrounded with. From the reggae music of the legendary Bob Marley to the work of hip-hop icons such as 2Pac and Naz he found solace from the personal storms which life had cast him. Emulating the art forms of these early heroes he too began writing and performing songs. This would eventually pave the way to many recording sessions and "Changes" would be the result.

"Changes" has just been released. Jonathan Burkett and his label, Upstormed Records, have been working nonstop to launch his career. A North American radio and press campaign to promote and market his music is in progress. Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop radio stations will be serviced with the single beginning this week, as will top publications and select music blogs. His press kit will be provided upon request to all members of the media by contacting the representative listed below. Details regarding a promo tour will follow soon and he will be available for interviews and/or appearances on the stops along the way.
