9 times Guinness World Record Gordo Gamsby plans to open a global arts hub warehouse to house artists from around the world and provide them with a plethora of facilities.
Sydney, November 11st, 2013: Gordo Gamsby is a multiple Guinness World Record holder (9 times) and entertainer extraordinaire. What’s more; he’s a man with heart. In his own words, "I am back in Australia and have plans to break some more records. At the same time I want to bring to fruition a project which entails my buying a warehouse to create a ’global arts hub’ where artist from all over the world can converge. There will be accommodation facilities, a small theatre like area for performance , room for workshops and studios, a gallery space, video lab, and music recording and rehearsal space."
An extraordinary man by any standards, he recently achieved a new record for juggling the maximum number of fire torches while swallowing a sword. His new endeavor to try and establish a global arts hub is an outcome of his having been involved with the arts community for more than a decade and being well aware of the constraints and issues that confront them. The proposed warehouse shall be a magnet that will bring together new artists from all over the globe and become a hub for an exchange of ideas and insights, thereby contributing significantly to the global arts community.
In an era where competition and one-upmanship are the name of the world, here is an artist and champion record breaker who is willing to think of the larger artistic community across the world. This only augurs well for the world of arts and the artistic fraternity. What all the young people who will come down to the global arts hub learn will be invaluable and something that will stand them in good stead for the rest of their lives. Moreover one will be able to create a database of networked artists who will be able communicate with each other. In a sense it will be a sort of a Mecca for the Global Arts Community.
