Indian Plumbing Conference 2016 under the banner of Indian Plumbing Association was held in Kolkata recently. The organization holds convention related to the end to end process of plumbing in different cities in India every year. The 22nd Indian Plumbing Conference was recently held on November 25 and 26, 2016 in Milan Mela Ground Kolkata. It was attended by delegates across the nation and expert speakers on the domain graced the occasion.
A Quick Glance of the Indian Plumbing Association
Indian Plumbing Association was established in the year 1993 with the who’s who of plumbing professionals in India. The lone objective of the association is development in plumbing and building services across the country. IPA is considered as one of the key members of World Plumbing Council with futuristic vision and advanced technology. They are very keen on ethical practices to achieve and maintain the best standard of craftsmanship. Presently IPA has about 2500 honorary members throughout the country.
The Conference; First Day
The IPC 2016, one of the most happening events from Indian Plumbing Association commenced at 10 a.m. on 25th November at Milan Mela Ground Kolkata. The inauguration took place with predominant faces of plumbing and construction industry. Chief Guest Shri. Subrata Mukherjee, Minister of Public Health Engineering, West Bengal presented a valuable speech on the sustainable plumbing for the future India and the vast scope and development needed for the said industry. The welcome note was followed by speeches from eminent speakers such as IPA Kolkata chapter Chairman Mr. S K Roy Choudhury, Shri. Sameeran Banik, President Mr. Gurpreet singh, Prof. K J Nath, Vice Chancellor, International Academy of Environmental Science & Public Health, Prof. Ajoy Ray, Director, Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology etc. All the who’s who of plumbing industry presented their valuable point of view related to feasible plumbing methodology for a healthier India in near future.
The Conference; Second Day
The second day of the conference began with positive vibes from all the eminent patrons from the plumbing industry. A visionary panel discussion on washroom trends and possibilities became the centre of attractions as all the noteworthy speakers shared their opinions and beliefs. Trailblazers from various fields were felicitated with the prestigious IPA mementos. The winner’s names were announced with much enthusiasm and ardor. Skipper pipes, Lubrizol, Viega, Ashirvad, Astral Poly Technik were some of the distinguished winners.
As India emerges as one of the bigwigs in the world economy it is imperative for India to focus on sustainable growth of which sustainable plumbing is an essential part. The buildings those are constructed presently in the country paying attention to the sustainability to maintain a better health. Indian Plumbing Conference 2016 fulfilled the need of sustainable plumbing for a healthier society. The event was a great success.
