GCA Offers Safe, Legal and Non-judgmental Pregnancy Termination Services in Australia

Gynaecology Centers Australia (GCA) provides first trimester pregnancy termination services through its clinics located in different regions in Australia. Established in 1998, GCA offers safe, legal, and non-judgemental pregnancy termination and related services for women. In order to improve access for women living in urban/rural areas, GCA has set up five centers across Australia, including Sydney, Newcastle, Gosford, Canberra and Wollongong. GCA’s policy is to provide unbiased, concise, and comprehensive information to a woman considering termination of a pregnancy. For over fifteen years, GCA have been providing exceptional medical care and emotional support to the women of Australia who wish to terminate their pregnancies. Their mission is to provide legal, safe, and non-judgmental pregnancy termination and offer effective and reliable contraception. GCA assesses each patient on an individual basis and as part of the process the patient is guided through a counselling session conducted by a doctor. In order to ascertain the site of pregnancy, gestational age and the presence of any uterine abnormalities, an ultrasound scanning is performed prior to the procedure. GCA aim is to offer a medical service synonymous to a patient undergoing medical treatment for any other condition.

GCA offers two types of pregnancy terminations including surgical termination and medical termination. Surgical termination, the more common method, is performed surgically for terminating a pregnancy of up to 14 weeks. GCA advise medical termination procedure only for those in their early stages of pregnancy. The termination procedures are performed by specialist, experienced and authorized GCA doctors.

GCA have in place a well-balanced process that minimizes emotionally traumatic and lengthy periods of stay in a hospital. GCA also provide D&C (dilation and curettage) for non-progressing pregnancies (blighted ovum or foetal demise), foetal abnormalities, and incomplete miscarriage. The other services offered by GCA (at some of its centers) include general women’s health care, including fertility management, weight management, sexual health, menopause management, Pap smears, breast examinations, postnatal checks, osteoporosis screening, bowel screening, pregnancy dating ultrasound, three month contraceptive injections, hormone releasing Intrauterine System (IUS) and IUD insertions, and contraceptive implant insertions and removals.
