E-catering started in Indian Railways; RailMitra implements safety measurement steps for hygienic food delivery on the trains.

Indian Railways had started its operation from 2nd June 2020 after almost 2 months of Lockdown. Soon Indian Railways authorities had indicated that online e-catering services can be resumed. Keeping the safety measurement steps in check, RailMitra has done all its preparations. The CEO and Director of RailMitra, Mr Manish Chandra says that “All the restaurants have been informed and sent the safety measurements guidelines for hygienic food delivery on the trains with zero human contact.”

He puts it strongly that the safety measurements and hygiene maintenance must be followed by all the restaurants for hygienic and fresh food delivery on trains. The restaurants are being sanitized; thermal checkups of all delivery staff are being carefully done from now onwards to avoid any kind of contamination and health issues. Indian Railways e-catering services have started and RailMitra has done all its preparation for contactless food delivery on trains.

RailMitra is working on spreading awareness through video conferences with the partner restaurants for maintaining hygiene and safe food preparation and deliveries. Indian Railways are running almost 200 trains in the 1st unlock phase in which almost 70 trains are running without pantry cars.
