Announcing new single release from Americana Artist DownTown Mystic to benefit Drummer Tommy Mastro, who has ALS.

NEW YORK, NY, June 19, 2013 -- Sha-La Music/The Orchard releases new DownTown Mystic single "Lost & Found" on June 11, 2013.

Following on the success of the "No Exceptions" single, Americana/Roots Rocker DownTown Mystic’s latest single "Lost & Found" is being released to benefit Nashville drummer Tommy Mastro and his fight against ALS. Tommy plays drums on the single, which was recorded before he was diagnosed with ALS, commonly known as "Lou Gehrig’s Disease". All proceeds from the single will be donated to Tommy at: http://togetherfortommy.com/

Tommy recently stopped playing drums because of ALS and is now working to bring attention to the need for research funding for the fatal disease. As Tommy says, "nobody really knows what ALS is, but everybody knows somebody with it".

Head Mystic, Robert Allen, was not planning to release "Lost & Found" as a single but when he heard the news of his friend having ALS, it was something he had to do. Robert says "it only seemed fitting to release the track as a single to benefit Tommy because we’re the only 2 people playing on it. But the really odd thing is, because of Tommy’s situation it sounds like I wrote it for him, even though I wrote it before I ever met him".

The video for "Lost & Found" is a tribute to Tommy: http://youtu.be/qvyAT-W1Qqw

"Lost & Found" is being released as a 3-Song Digital 45 and is available on iTunes, Amazon.com and other online retailers.

Released last year in Europe on AGR/Sony Music, DownTown Mystic burst on the Americana scene with the critically acclaimed "Standing Still" cd, charting on the AMA and Euro/Americana Charts. DownTown Mystic’s music has also been heard on NBC’s "The Voice" and "Last Call with Carson Daly", as well as shows on MTV and the History Channel.
