Dental Imaging Pioneer, SOTA Imaging, Celebrates 25 Years of Breakthrough in Orange County & Around the Globe

SOTA Imaging celebrates a quarter century of U.S. lean manufacturing and innovation that has ultimately changed the dental imaging industry around the world.

As SOTA Imaging celebrates 25 years of success, the company takes a moment to reflect on its humble beginnings: two employees, a small office in Garden Grove, CA, and a simple production line for optics. In the following years, SOTA would grow to manufacture parts for NASA, IBM, Abbot, and Universities across the nation. Ultimately, SOTA would gain experience manufacturing the industrys leading intraoral cameras for corporations such as New Image and Dentrix. Early on, SOTA learned to be an innovator in the dental industry, by identifying needs in dental technology, and creating solutions for them.

With the vision to produce the highest quality intraoral camera without compromising convenience and ease-of-use, SOTA engineers and developers launched Claris, the very first intraoral camera to work across all dental imaging platforms. This launch was ground breaking as dental imaging at the time was cumbersome to use and doctors had limited options to purchasing proprietary equipment. SOTA pioneered freedom for dentists to choose their own imaging software, and use the Claris with any other imaging equipment.

Today, in a competitive industry with low cost dental products being manufactured abroad and sold in the U.S., SOTA continues to produce high quality, U.S. made dental technologies that continue to improve dental workflow and procedures. This year alone, SOTA launched three main innovative products: a 5th generation, award- winning Claris i4D intraoral Camera, the highest quality Clio Digital x-ray sensor, and the first ever, touch-screen ready Cliosoft Digital Imaging Software. The 2012 SOTA product line now enables dentists to minimize network wiring costs which can cost anywhere from $10,000-$20,000 and also provides unparalleled technical support with low cost support programs.
