British Council recognizes VIBGYOR High with International School Award (ISA)

VIBGYOR High group of schools, a leading chain of schools in India have received the British Council International School Award (ISA) for the year 2015-18 for Outstanding Development of the International Dimension in the Curriculum for their two schools located in Haralur and Electronics City. The schools were felicitated at an Award function held at Hotel Kempinski Ambience in New Delhi. Ms. M. Geetha, Principal of Haralur school as well as Ms. Shruthi Yalamalli Arun, Principal of Electronics City school were felicitated by Mr. Rob Lynes, Director, British Council.
The International School Award (ISA) is a global benchmarking scheme that accredits schools and supports them in embedding international learning in to the curriculum. The British Council witnessed the participation of more than 2,000 schools across India, of which only 252 schools across India, while only 17 schools from Bangalore have received the award this year.
Commenting her views on the occasion, Ms. M. Geetha, Principal of VIBGYOR High Haralur school said, It was a moment of great pride for the entire VIBGYOR fraternity when our branch at Haralur, Bengaluru, received the most coveted ISA Award. This is the milestone in the journey and look forward to take the school to the zenith of glory, as envisaged by our Director of Academics, Ms. Kavita Sahay, who has been a strong pillar of support and encouragement to us.
Expressing her views, Ms. Shruthi Yalamalli Arun, Principal of VIBGYOR High Electronics City, said, At VIBGYOR High, students are exposed to experiential learning and we organize various domestic and international trips to supplement the classroom learning of our students, giving them a holistic learning experience. Such exercises aid in securing achievements like ISA Award. We are very glad and would like to congratulate my entire team of staff and students who contributed towards the success. I would also like to thank Mr. Rustom Kerawalla, Chairman and Managing Director, VIBGYOR High Chain of schools for empowering us with his vision.
VIBGYOR High follows a structured and future-forward educational curriculum that is based on the best international practices. The school initiated the process to install a global dimension into the learning experience and registered for the British Council International School Award (ISA). The schools worked on 8 projects each with an extensive report on various topics such as Expressions in Language, Culture in a Box, Fabrics of our lives, Natives and their origins and a lot more, and effectively managed collaboration with schools from various countries like South Korea, Lebanon and UK. Each school was recognized with a trophy along with certificates for the school, ISA coordinator and other support staff contributing towards the successful implementation of the project.
