Authors, Deepak Dalal and Christopher Doyle inspired budding writers of VIBGYOR High Schools

Encouraging the passion for reading and writing amongst young enthusiasts, VIBGYOR High Schools in Borivali and Malad organised visits by prominent authors, Deepak Dalal and Christopher Doyle, respectively. They visited the schools to launch VIBGYOR High Greaders’ Club for the current academic year. Over 100 students from each school participated in an interactive session with the authors.
Deepak Dalal, a renowned environmentalist and wild life author, has been beautifully scripting his love towards nature and wildlife through his books; while Christopher Doyle’s books bring to light the Indian mythology, history and cultural heritage. Both the writers shared their distinctive writing styles with the students. During the interactive session, the authors patiently addressed the queries of the young minds and guided them with insights to improve their reading and writing skills.

Commenting on the initiative, Ms. Kavita Sahay, Director-School Operations and Academics, VIBGYOR High Group of Schools, said, “At VIBGYOR High, we believe, regular reading enriches vocabulary, helps brain development, enhances concentration, increases knowledge along with various other benefits. Through VIBGYOR High Greaders’ Club, we aim to create a greed towards reading in our students.”

VIBGYOR High Greaders’ Club is a Literary Club of the school, and serves as an extension to the study of literature which is a part of the school’s curriculum. The Club aims to equip students with a rich vocabulary, enhance reading and writing skills, focus on developing a keen interest in reading, enable interpretation of texts, encourage discussion and exchange of student ideas through various fun-filled activities throughout the year.
