London, ON- On the heels of "Damned If You Don’t" (2012) James Todd once again helms lead vocal and production duties on Abandoned Souls latest release "Insightful Minds at Ease". It is a musical collaboration that showcases incredible growth, maturity, and technical prowess. James and his fellow bandmates, Derek De Kort (lead guitar), Tim Thompson (guitar/vocals) and Steve Thomas (drums/percussion/vocals) have delivered a compilation that will both satisfy hard core fans and win multitudes of new ones.

"Insightful Minds at Ease" is disk 1 of a 2-disk series, the second of which is targeted for release in mid 2015. Both are the result of some blistering song-writing and recording sessions throughout 2013 and 2014. The net outcome was a body of work that artistically lends itself to a themed multi-disc release.

Self-produced and recorded, Abandoned Souls also enlisted the talents of Brian Vollmer from Helix (Capital Records) fame to share vocal duties on one track. They also utilized the photography and digital mastery skills of Darko (darkphoto.com) to bring the visual landscape to life. If one can imagine being trapped in a dark place and escaping that darkness with an explosion of sonic artillery, then "Insightful Minds at Ease" is an embodiment of that vision. Packed with hard hitting grooves, screaming guitars, catchy hooks, and pound-your-fist vocals and melodies, this collection of songs is a must-have for all fans new and old alike.

Abandoned Souls will be direct support for LEE AARON on Dec. 5 at Eastside Bar and Grill in London, ON for a CD pre release party. They will be showcasing music from their new album and will also have pre release copies of "Insightful Minds at Ease" available.
