Dermatology is derived from the ancient Greek word derma – Skin, the skin is composed of 3 main layers that protects our body from various factors, the epidermis outer layer of the skin, dermis – thicker and second layer of the skin that performs the most function, subcutaneous – fat bottom layer of the skin. The skin will lead to 10% of humans body weight. The average adult has 21 square feet skin.
